JANE AUSTEN AND "SENSE AND SENSIBILITY"


JANE AUSTEN:
Jane Austen was an English novelist, set among the English middle and upper classes, are notable for their wit, social observation and insights into the lives of early 19th century women.
Jane Austen was born on 16 December 1775 in the village of Steventon in Hampshire with 41 years old. She was one of eight children of a clergyman and grew up in a close-knit family. She began to write as a teenager. Jane's brother helped her negotiate with a publisher and her first novel, 'Sense and Sensibility'. Her next novel 'Pride and Prejudice', which she described as her. All of Jane Austen's novels were published anonymously.  
About the background that Jane Austen lived was  a British novelist who lived during the Georgian era. The irony that he uses to give his novels a comic makes Jane Austen be considered among the classics of the English novel, while her reception goes, even today, beyond academic interest, her works being read by a wider audience.
Always around the marriage of his protagonist. The candor of Austen's works, however, is merely apparent, although it can be interpreted in several ways. Academic circles have always considered Austen as a conservative writer, while the most current feminist critique points .Her novels has been taken to the cinema on different occasions, sometimes faithfully reproduced.
In 1816, Jane began to suffer from ill-health, probably due to Addison's disease. She travelled to Winchester to receive treatment, and died there on 18 July 1817. Two more novels, 'Persuasion' and 'Northanger Abbey' were published posthumously and a final novel was left incomplete.
The opiniĆ³n about Jane’s Austen Works are that she speak of women's difficulties in being considered intelligent beings and in no way inferior to men.

Take care of : attend to
Disturb : interrupt
Silver : shiny grey-white metal colour
Gates :  doors in a fence or wall
Sins : immoral acts
Hell: terrible place where bad people go after death ( according to some religions )

VOCABULARY UNIT 4

Amusing : funny and giving pleasure
Annoying : making somebody feel slightly
Upsetting : making you feel shy, unvonfortable or ashamed
Burst out laughing : to suddently start laughing
Gap : a space where something is missing
Misunderstanding : a situation in which a comment, an instruction, etc. is not understood correctly
Nod your head : to move your head up and down to show agreement, understanding,etc.
Spread news : to tell people about something
Squeeze : touch somebody or something with force
Browse : to look at a lot of thingsonline rather than looking for one particular thing
Charge : to put electricity in a battery
Plug in : to connect a piece of electrical equipment to the mainsupply of electricity or to another piece of electrical equipment
Stream : to play video or sound on a computer by receiving it as a continous stream
Swipe : to move our finge quickly across the screen of an electronic devidesuch as a mobile phone or small computer in order to move text , pictures, etc or give commands
Tap : to move text on a computer screen up or down so that you can read different parts of it
Update : to make something more modern by adding new parts,etc.

Corridor : passage in a building with rooms at one or both sides

Brand : a type of product made by a particular company.
Waste : an unnecessary or wrong use of money, time, energy, abilities,etc.
Borrow : to get or recibe something from someone with the intention of giving it back after a period of time.
Save up :to keep money so that you can buy something with it in the feature.
Sports gear : is like a equipment
Catch up : to reach the same quality or standard as someone or something else
Join in : to become involved in an activity with other people
Mild : not violence. severe , or extreme ( the opposite os spicy )
Sour: having a sharp, sometimes , unpleasant , taste or smell, like a lemon , not sweet
Fill up: to make something full, or to become full
